Four Winds Interactive seeks a Sales Engineer to join the Sales Engineering team and lead technical relationship with the customer. This position will supports account representatives in selling software solutions, services and hardware. This role partners with one or more account representatives — and ultimately across the company — to sell the holistic solution to organizations. The sales engineer position will use technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services. The Sales Engineer is not a management position.

  • You will validate the software by providing application examples of its use and exhibiting its ease of use
  • Scopes technical solutions, in advance, to address customer requirements
  • Assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company
  • Assist customers to conceptualize the connection between our solution to their business objectives
  • Coordinate and cooperates with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements
  • Conduct meetings with customers, present at tradeshows, etc.
  • Accurately scope potential projects and assist in defining sales/implementation strategy
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years' experience in software sales and/or sales engineering, focused on SaaS software solutions

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability prioritize multiple projects
  • You exhibit conceptual understanding in the majority of the following:
    • Operating Systems (Windows OS, Windows Sever, UNIX OS)
    • SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
    • XML
    • Networking Protocols/Theory
    • Network Security
    • Web Services (ASP.NET, .NET, IIS)
    • Application Security
    • Encoding/Streaming Video

Desired Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional familiarity within a focus  industry vertical (hospitality, healthcare, higher education, government, corporate, partner/channel development)
  • Previous experience implementing software training strategies
  • Understanding of the Digital Signage Industry/Market
  • Experience using Four Winds software and/or experience with Digital Signage implementations
